Valentines Day Heart Bookmark

I made this for my kids, they participate in a postal mail valentines exchange with other homeschool children so we always like to try and make something neat to send along with our valentines since candy is hard to fit in standard envelopes.

So this year I was thinking what can a kid use and would like, and it hit me a little bookmark not a full one just a little one shaped like a heart. Now the boys we send to might not like the heart so I will most likely cut theirs out of blue papers or darker colors but I still liked my idea.

This was designed in Photoshop initially, tweaked and converted in Inkscape, and tested and cut with SCAL. The follwing photos show the .jpg of the cut file, the bookmark close up on a page, a different shot of it in the book, and close up alone.

As you will see it is 2 hearts that must be overlayed and glued together, you might have to trim out the empty space a bit as it looked like it was even on the computer but didn’t cut out quite even in real life, but it’s not a big deal just trim it out a bit if you need to.
